This route covers the most northerly of the Eastern Wainwrights. The first three peaks involve some steepish climbing but after that it's mostly runnable, legs.

The OS map would suggest that you will have navigational challenges linking Glenridding Dodd, Sheffield Pike and Hart Side. But on the ground there are clear, though sometimes quite small, paths.

Follow the ridge south west from Hart Side and then South to reach a very obvious, and relatively level, path that leads to the various Dodds and Clough Head.

Return along the same route, but bypassing most of the summits to Sticks Pass and then climb up the rise to Raise, as it were, and onwards to White Side. From Whiteside gird your loins and start on one of the fastest descents of all the 21 routes, passing the mine on your return to Glenridding.

Choose a good day: in mist it would be fairly unrelenting.
